ROM Hack BEUP and yahoo contacts

Has anyone successfully added a Yahoo IM contact to use with BEUP. I have not been able to add a yahoo contact. If you have, can you please let me know what I am doing wrong? I installed Windows Live Messenger 8.1 and added the contact, verified that I was able to IM that person and they could...

    Hacking Chiip Opensource Modchip

On some older computers the LED did not light in the programmer when I flashed it. On the new computers is did blink in the programmer. At first it appears not to blink but let it sit in there 10-20 seconds and it should begin to blink.. Good luck...keep us posted.

Smack that is exactly my issue. I'm just wondering if this firmware has issues with some DVD-R's. All of my back-up are on the same brand DVD-R's.

Klick, Don’t give up that easy. This is exactly why I liked the project. It is completely satisfying when you get that little LED to blink. I can try to help you. There are a couple of problems that I’ve come across that could cause that error. Look at the diagram on the Chiip site the first...

    Hacking OpenWii Updates

Thanks for explaining WII20, I'm still happy with my Chiip. The stuttering fix would have been nice; it’s all a matter of time until the Chiip firmware supports it as well. Bill

    Hacking OpenWii Updates

I guess I’m lucky, all of my back-ups are on DVD-R's. I would love to stick with the chiip firmware. But I’m sick of hearing my wife say the video stuttering is annoying. As soon as the Chiip firmware has the DVD speed feature I’m switching back. Hopefully soon.

    Hacking Chiip Opensource Modchip

Can someone point us to the correct HEX file to use with the Chiip programmer? Also did you have to change any perimeters when flashing? I'm also guessing that the pin layout and solder points on the DVD are the same? Thank a ton Bill

    Hacking programmer for chiip

The pic is very blurry. But I dont see the (-) side of your capacitor connected to pin 25 on the D-SUB 25 connector. Is it there? I can see it connected to 7 on the socket but it also needs to be connected to 25 on the D-SUB 25 connector.

    Hacking programmer for chiip

I could be wrong because it is hard to see in your picture. I think you did the same thing we did when we built ours. On the diagram on the Chiip website you are looking at socket from the top. Not from underneath like he describes for the D-SUB 25. It appears you have the wires reversed on your...

    Hacking Chiip Opensource Modchip

I really don't mind if he makes it open source or not. Although I agree that if he does release it, it may speed up the functionality of the chiip. But Cadex has done one hell of a job so far. He did not have to do anything and could have just kept the whole project to himself. But no…. not only...
