    I had retail copies of Sun and Moon. They worked on my N3DSXL with luma 5.5, but when trying to play on my o3DSXL with luma 5.5, it would say "The Game Card was Removed" error immediately. I updated the luma on my o3DSXL, and it works. Not sure why it didn't work earlier, but updating to latest...
