    I'm not even sure the 2 pads to the cpu shielding are mandatory. Thought i heard him say he was doing this to fix the flex cable and prevent it from moving when soldering the 2 resistors.

    That’s an error. TX confirmed it worked on all current firmwares including 10.0.x
