    are you on 4.0? i thought SDHC was only supported on 4.0, not lower...but, i am fairly new to this so i might not be 100% accurate.

    depends on the loader you are using, and where your config file is pointing to but...the one i am using, a version of the gui loader, they go in sd:/images & sd:/images/disc hope that helps.
