    Yeah, I do have the 2011 MacBook Pro. I know about the double audio ports., but I want to connect them digitally, as the AUX cable is unfortunately analogue. (Digital gives out less noise, more precise and crisp sounds and is absolutely lossless).

    It depends on your budget and camera to be honest, I've seen electric tripods that automatically move the camera by small increments and trigger the camera's shoot button every few seconds or so depending on what you've put in for the settings.
