Homebrew USB Loader GX forwarder channel for Wii U menu

I also noticed I got error 199-9999 when launching the USB Launcher GX forwarder (installed to NAND), even though I confirmed Tiramsu was running. I removed the WiiU formatted drive and tested again and it then worked. I then deleted and reinstalled it on USB, and it worked. Moved it to Wii U...

Hacking USB Loader GX (vWii) Error

This might be a bit late to the party but my setup was working fine on my vWii until I connected the USB and SD into my Wii, then it didn't work on my WiiU anymore. fortunately I had a backup which I was able to compare it to, so here is backed up meta.xml below <?xml version="1.0"...

Hacking Kingdom Hearts - Remapping game controllers

I've been doing some analysis of the way Kingdom Hearts on the PC stores joypad button remapping, after discovering the built-in button remapping is very poor. One of it's problems is if you don't have a game controller with 24 individual inputs (an analog stick counts as 4 inputs) you can't map...

Hardware Super Smash Bros Brawl Not Working

I'm guessing your laser is worn out as Brawl is dual layered. Most games are single layered. I changed my laser a few years ago after the same happened to me and it works fine now.

Hardware Cursor for Wii remote flickers a lot

Have you tried setting the sensitivity in the settings? You should clearly see 2 dots as you move the wiimote around. You can adjust it between 1-5. If you can see more than 2 dots it's picking up something else as an infrared source, eg candle, light, sun, even reflections if you have a mirror.

Hardware Some questions about Wii U Pro controller

    1. Yes 2. Yes from the menu. You still need the Gamepad to change things in the settings menu. Yes from supported Wii U games, support is shown on the back of the game box/eshop 3. As far as I'm aware, no, Wii games won't understand the newer Wii U hardware. 4. Yes if using Nintendont as...

Hardware 2 USB enclosures don't seem to work

USB2.0 only allows 500mA per USB port. I actually found a USB flash drive worked a lot better after trying a few USB HDDs. It's only 32GB but had no issues with it. I know Nintendo don't recommend USB flash drives due to wear, but other than save files it rarely gets written to as far as I'm...

Hardware New Wii U update for EUR-region only: 5.5.4E

I put HBL on vWii mode for the first time using the smash hack using this version (5.5.4 E) and all works as intended.

Hardware How can I use this with my Wii?

Forget the Memory Stick, that's Sony only. I have a Sandisk 32GB SDHC that works perfectly on my WiiU in Wii mode. I think it should work on my Wii as well though I've not tried it.

    Hardware Wii disc drive swappable?

I've changed the Wii drive on my Wii a few years ago on my launch Wii after the laser started to fail (initially dual layer discs stopped, then read errors became frequent on other discs) and it's not difficult to replace the drive. But as Leseratte said watch out for drives that don't support...
