seeing how both versions are in the same rom that can be accessed by changing a line of code somewhere, any way to make a simple code to do that, as a speed toggle between version if u will?

In sword and Shield you can toggle the save to switch between sword and shield via pkhex. It is easier to code when they make certain pokemon available in certain version with if statement condition.
just Change the second line to whatever button you want (end of string) the line always starts with 8 "80000080" -> 80=R. 80000080
you can find the values in the forum... you can also add multiple values for combo presses. values are in hex
e.g. L+R becomes 00000C0 (0x40 + 0x80 = 0xC0) -> 800000C0
