Found something that may be useful to some people. When you take a screenshot and save it to the microSD and then navigate to it on your pc, the filename always has a string that is the same on every screenshot for that game. I assume these are title IDs. Example attached. Sure many people know this but i haven't seen it posted here.

Isn't IPv6 too complicated to be a simple ip? :D
Naah could be hash of the id or guids. Who knew. Like kingraa777 said, even when we knew the ids it wouldn't help.
I dunno what IPV6 Is. O_o

I was just saying that way too long for a title ID. Usually title id for games are fairly short from what i know. I mean is a nintendo cart, they always have the title id on the case right? Like 4 Letters and some numbers or whatever, Playstation games have 4 letters followed by 5 numbers. For example, Super smash bros brawl for wii is RSBE or melee is AAXE or something, playstation be like SLUS00453 Or something. Just was asking based on observation. :ninja:

Yeah sure, but if it's a hash it would make sense. Ooor a random generated unique code per console per game :D

What? Wii U games have that long ass ID.

Here's an example: 00050000-10108500

Nothing stopping Switch from using a new format as the Wii U did. Also, what do you think that string is if not a title ID?

You're confusing the Product ID/Serial with the titleID. The product ID is on the cart, the titleID is mostly used internally.

For example the Serial for the EUR version of the 3DS game Hyrule Warriors Legends is CTR-P-BZHB, this is found on the box and cartridge label.

Its titleID for its demo however is 0004000000193200, and
000400000017EB00 for the full game.

tl;dr
No, it's not too long to be the titleID.

It's not the TitleID. The size of this hex string is 0x10bytes, so it's look like a hash of something, but we don't know what...

You should compare those strings with other switch owners. If they differ, than i don't think that are the game ids...

Yea thing ground breaking. It simply made per game.
To really find out if all the games use the same id/number (gotta get some more people to post there and compare)

But as said its just so the screenshot apps knows what game its from.
