@BigOnYa You must have a 12 month promo. Youre price will be $80 a month after. lol
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Yea you right
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
I have spectrum too. And mine is currently $50 for their 300 Mbps service.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Threaten to leave they'll keep the price fixed for another year

And thats a promo price. I miss living in the big city where I had 1Gbps fiber down AND up for $50. :(
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
@K3Nv2 I did that already a couple times. lol
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If you live alone 1Gbps is pretty useless money waster
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
From past experience they usually dont care thoiugh. Ive had them just say "okay. what day do you want it cancelled?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    I hate living here
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
Not for me. Not when I download 30-60+ GB files on a regular basis. And some games are 100+ GB.
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
Id take the 1GBps service easily if I could get it for $50 again. But Spectrum wants $120+ fees a month after promo pricing is over. Then I agree, not worth it.
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
I read people saying that they got spectrum to give them 1Gbps for $50 for 2 years. Not in my case. lol. Ive tried for years to get them to up my speed and keep my price. No go.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I did get locked into 2 year deal, 500mb-$50, but yea after 2 year i'll prob drop speed back to 300mb for $50, or look at other promotional deals at that time.
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
i tried to get that too. 500 for $50. They wouldn't budge. They just keep renewing my $50 for 300 promo every year

One thing I love about GFiber no contract and I can upgrade whenever without them coming out
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Maybe cause I was a new customer, I was with At&t before.
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
I wonder if I can sign my cat up online for a better deal. lmao. Its been so long I don't recall if they ask for ssi number when signing up online.

I do know they started charging for self install. Thats incredibly lame.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
And if the tech finds nothing wrong they charge you like $150
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea n they wanted to charge me $8 a month for a WiFi router, I told them no and went and bought my own for $35
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
They tried to charge me for moving to a different apartment in the exact same building too.

  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
My apartment downstairs flooded pretty badly a few years back. Standing water that covered my foot. Lots of personal stuff damaged. Like my entire vinyl collection. :( I had vinyls that are 1 in 300 made world wide and autographed. All worth absolutely nothing now and cannot be replaced.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Damn, sorry to hear that. Bummer!
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
So when i moved to an upstairs apartment in fear of it happening again, spectrum wanted to charge me. lol. They removed it as a "one time only offer". lololol
