AMD GPUs have a bit more issues playing Xenoblade 3 than Nvidia GPUs.

I'd upgrade to EA2920.
Anything after 2920 was giving me frequent crashes, but 2920 runs pretty smoothly (I have an rx480), and gave me better stability than EA2889.

For Vulkan, you'll want the newest GPU drivers, which are v 22.10.3.
For OpenGL, you'll want drivers v 22.6.1, as there were some changes to the OpenGL backend with 22.7.1 that makes Xenoblade 3 crash frequently (I haven't tested OpenGL since 22.9.1, and it still wasn't working).

You can get the drivers here: https://www.amd.com/en/support, after you select your GPU and get to the drivers list, towards the bottom should be an option for older drivers if you need to get the 22.6.1 version.

I was playing XC3 on earlier builds when it was launched. I backed Theboy181 for his tweaks/mods as well. Life got busy and I completely forgot about XC3. Now want to get into it again... a couple of questions:

- what's the best build to play with now? EA? Official mainline? Dirty?
- has the spirit/mist effect issue been fixed yet? I remember both Vulkan and OpenGl couldn't work it

Thanks! This is great! I have a 4090 mated to a 13900k. Has that bloom/toxic water effect been sorted in Vulcan? Last time I checked, despite using the workarounds, it would still pop up

It is impossible to hold 60fps right now I'm on a 12700K OC'd to 5.0ghz on all P-cores and I still dip into the high 40's low 50's in some areas. But it is mostly 60fps.

I did not tried with the last version of the game and mods, so I don't know. I checked the 4k some months ago and was near imposible to maintain 60 fps, in the end I played it at 2k, also is great.

Is it possible to get this running on my laptop at stable 60fps?
My laptop specs:
i7 - 12700H
RTX 3050
16 GB DDR5

With my current test so far I only get 30-45 fps on battle and 60fps on chain atk on Ryujinx
