hi i just bought a 360 with the samsung drive and i have some questions.
i am about to flash firmware so i can play backups.
many of my friends have already backups (not originals) to give me so i can copy them too.

how do i backup the already backuped dvds?

how do i backup the downlaoded ones from the internet?

do i just make an iso with imgburn or clonecd and burn the iso into a dvd+r dl?

i also found the Xbox_Backup_Creator_v2.6.0.260 and thought to use for burning the isos but the program does not make isos.

i wouldn't start a new topic but i couldn't find any topics as the search function is off atm.

I don't think you can make backups of backup/retail with the normal DVD drive. You'll need Keron or 360 Drive on your PC to make backups from disk.

As for ISOs, just burn them with ImgBurn and you're good to go.

i just found a guide that the already backuped backups can be burned with imgburn and plays fine.
only the retail ones need those drives.
anyone that can help?

Hmn I think you may be able to use clonecd to make a backup of a backup, just dump the img to your drive and burn it again... This is only for backups mind.
As for burning downloaded isos, it's just how you said it, open .dvd file with clonecd and hit burn!
Good luck with the flash.

Just use clonecd or imgburn to make backups of backups.

Just burn the isos from the internet, but make sure you use the .dvd file or you can manually set the layer break to 1913760.

ISOs come with a .dvd file, open that with imgburn and burn to DVD+R DL @2.4x

Also, you might want to take a look at the Samsung drive compatibility thread on this page. Lots more info there too

Thanks for the info guys.
I will pay 80euros to have it flashed.
I got it pretty cheap 100 euro cause that man was desperate for money with gears of war ,bioshock ,dead rising and kameo.
It is from a friend.
It does not have a hard disk only a memory card of 64mbyte.

Did you do the flashing on you own?
Is it easy or better have it done by a shop for 80euro with 3-4 backups?

It's very easy to flash the 360. I think you should learn how to do it, just in case that you need to update the firmware. You won't have to pay some one again.

This site should have all the links that you need: http://360patches.com/forums/index.php?topic=7.0.
