xbox chimp "unable to get first sector"

So i'm trying to upgrade my hard drive for my xbox. I'm using chimp to clone my "old" hard drive onto my "new" hard drive. However, whenever i am using the program, which requires me to remove the IDE cable from one drive and move it to the other drive, i recieve the following error...

"unable to get first sector"

I have yet to find a working solution. I have tried a few other newer versions of chimp but they are quite complicated and have yet to get them to work.

Okay.... I'm not saying i'm dumb, but i guess the guides i were looking at were very vague.
Apparently, you unplug the Disk Drive IDE cable and plug it into the "new" drive...
