I'm thinking it would be actually pretty cool if I could have the entire gameboy collection on my keychain.
I think maybe using the GamBoy Micro formfactor would be the best idea so it has about the same size screen and buttons but overall smaller? The gameboy is the controller so you can't really just miniaturize the original design as much without making it unuseable. it would need to link wirelessly to the other gameboys for multiplayer games.
