So is region emulation considered legal? How is this different to region spoofing?

You will have the complete system in japanese language. That's why it is legit. You can get the code from reddit as i will do xD

Just a note to everyone - the pokeCalcNTR updater homebrew is mostly finished - at this point we mostly need to get our server ready for public use before easier maintenance and updates are available!
I tried for a shiny 5IV Null, 6 IV is just out of the question, found a frame, but didn't use the timeline feature. Bad idea, it was over 41 million frames, around 36 hours of waiting....and I was off by one fucking number! So hopefully, following the guide and using the timeline feature, this attempt works. I used it just for 6IV nonshiny and it works.

I wish there was a way to fast forward though frames like having to wait almost two days just to get one Pokemon is just stupid.
what i've done in the past is exit the game and attempt to get a close frame by getting a different initial frame. it worked for magearna and Type: Null

The issue is DRM -

You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
