Yeah, since after the SNES only Capcom more or less supported Nintendo consoles, and Konami (at least the handhelds). Most other publisher tried with serious efforts and got burned so bad they went non-Nintendo plattforms for nearly a whole console gen.
when was the last time a nintendo console had good 3rd party support? nintendo has always been about first party support, and has always treated third parties as 2nd class citizens.
also, look at the hacked x360 vs hacked ps3 vs hacked wii. 2 of these systems get great 3rd party support, 1 does not. the problem is nintendo, not console hackers.
And Nintendo these days seem to be content with having a mediocre launch line-up and then have practically nothing until the competitor console is ready (see DS vs PSP, 3DS vs Vita). And then bring out some good first or second party games and then make the next mediocre launch line-up for their next console. At least devs seem to fair better on Nintendo handhelds, at least on DS and 3DS everything seemed to work out for 3rd parties so far. Except maybe SqEnix who in my oppinion jumped ship late in the DS lifetime to mostly to interesting handheld stuff on the PSP. I hope they'll do something interesting on 3DS soon. Wonder why they did not publish anything on 3DS VC yet, like FF1 NES or Final Fantasy Gaiden/Mystic Quest (EU). Or the obligatory FF4 remake, they have a reputation to loose of porting this to every system under the sun. Hmm, maybe they could turn this around and do a re-imagening this time *dun* *dun* *duun*
As to answer your question: last time was DS, depending on your criteria even 3DS.
