It's static so don't expect flashy animations... it's kinda simple, but I hope you like my channel!

Your forwarder looks perfectly simple, but it doesnt work for me. It just stays stuck on the Loading dol screen.

BTW, I don't mean "perfectly simply" as an insult, it's just refreshing when I see a WAD creator use graphics that resemble the application it controls and not just worry about crazy animations.

Yeah I'm getting crashes with smb, dvd, ntfs HD, i can't enjoy this app yet until an ntfs fix has been released. I figured since MPlayer CE worked with my NTFS drive just fine, WiiMC would too...

EDIT: well it seems that didn't work. Anyone can test this wad? I don't have my Wii here to test it myself.

Tried this one as well, just goes to a black screen.

EDIT: well it seems that didn't work. Anyone can test this wad (or the widescreen one)? I don't have my Wii here to test it myself.

Id love to see those 4 columns be animated, with a guitar riff. Thats all it really needs

Were close to the same idea Enigma.

I was even thinking a simple piano chord as well with the columns lighting up like volume columns going up and down as the volume on the sound does.

Not bad. Would have liked it to not have that white "Media Player" tab on the top and maybe lose those media icons animating or do something different with them... but the forwarder works.

Just a quick question, will this work without an SD card (embeded in a channel)? I'm doing a channel - will post as soon as I finish! - and I don't know if I should do a forwarder and an embeded channel or only the forwarder.

No it can't, you require the onlinemedia.xml and the generated and saves settings.xml to be read off the SD etc. So a channel is just for convenience from the wii interface not as a replacement to save on the sd card or use of not having an sd card.

davidsl, I modded your forwarder using a forwarder dol I found in the WiiMC forum, hope you don't mind:

I have now installed the new ver. but it still won't play iso, i'm trying to play them over my LAN. When i enter the folder with the iso file it's empty

This was a major problem in mplayer-ce, too. You had to add the file extension so that mplayer could see the iso files. I still get a code cump when I leave the usb drive plugged in while starting WiiMC. If I start it when I am already in WiiMC, it works.

BTW: You can update ONLINE directly in WiiMC.

A popup should show when telling you that a new version is available!

So my hard drive works, I still get a code dump now an than from a movie. Sometimes it erases my SMB data.

how do you return to menu?


all works fine, select video and it plays. i can pause, fastforward or rewind, turn the volume up and down, but i cant return to the menu or quit or anything. in mplayer ce, pressing the b button would bring up the list but it isnt doing anything.
