Hacking Wii U PRO Controller Snes NES, maybe even Wii games?

So I am having some trouble, I can use my wii pro controller on Wii flow just fine, but it always shuts off whenever I try to play nes, or snes games on it. I've tried installing the mods for it, but I must be doing it wrong. If someone could please tell me how to do it right, I would like to play my nes, snes, virtual console, and wii games with a wii u pro controller, if that's possible. Any and all help is appreciated, thank you.
