anyway, do you have any news from hy[redacted]kem? from what i remember he left iirc some weeks ago
The last news was Hypekem was going to have his 2nd exploit released by the end of February or he'd at least release his 1st exploit. We never got either. I'm not holding my breathe, he's been logged out ever since, too afraid to face everyone after lying about the exploits.

Bayo 1 euro saves fine on my euro wii u. I am at third chapter. Cutscenes are horribly out of sync though.

hmmm so it may be an sd card issue, there´s no lag or audio stuttering for me at all but I can´t save manually, sometimes the autosaves manages to save and sometimes everything just vanishes

I´m using class 10 sdxc 64gb 64k sandisk btw

Since right now Wii VC games are locked due to the switch from Wii U to Wii, I've been thinking...

Let's say, one of the available Wii VC titles gets exploited.
I'll give the example of Super Mario Galaxy or Resident Evil 4, since the latter has Classic Controller support.
Since those Wii VC titles have Cafe2Wii enabled by default, if the exploit is ran within the Wii VC (let's say like that of Twilight Princess), would that make the Homebrew Channel compatible with Cafe2Wii? Meaning we would have the Gamepad as a CCP inside the Homebrew Channel in theory?

Nope! It first switches to vWii and then runs the game.

I think you're missing the point.

I meant if we could get a save-related exploit like that of TP running into a Wii Virtual Console title, we would be able to run the Homebrew Channel from within the Wii VC and with Cafe2Wii enabled. The Wii VC doesn't switch to vWii completely since you have access to Gamepad input.

I'd just like to know if in theory that's possible to achieve.

Nope, it switches to OSv1, or Almost vWii. Remember VC titles give you extra functionality over normal (OSv0) vWii. If you can manage to fully exploit one of these games (all the way up through IOS), you'll get a good handful of console-unique cafe-mode keys.

The console-unique cafe-mode keys that you are talking about,Are they keys found in Bank1 thru Bank6 of the OTP? Or some other keys?

Well, you tell me, Wii Virtual Console is stored on the eMMC or a USB which means it needs storage decryption keys which are specific to your console, the ones we're all going after

Ok so maybe you can inject Super Smash Bros. Brawl into one of the Wii games that you can buy on the Wii U eShop and use the Brawl exploit, would that work?

no, IOS's signing checks will fail. you're rebooting into a new OS, you need to exploit it from scratch apart from the ability to inject saves. i havent looked at vwii stuff but tbh you should probably just hack iosu. it wouldnt surprise me if they fixed all public IOS bugs in the vc IOS builds.

Well, people are now busy playing their backups. They magically have more fun now, hmm... I guess nobody would pirate, no, no, no. What am I thinking? Oh and where are all the new devs that have been promised to us in return for the latest firmware hack? They must all be finalizing their contributions, huh? Oh wait... :P </sarcasm>

Either that, or people are actually taking their time to cook up something new.

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)

I still like how a freaking mp3 file hacks webos all that security defeated by text yet again

I want a 120hz 4k tv but crazy how more expensive the 120hz over the 60hz are. Or even more crazy is the price of 8k's.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
No real point since movies are 30fps
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Not a big movie buff, more of a gamer tbh. And Series X is 120hz 8k ready, but yea only 120hz 4k games out right now, but thinking of in the future.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Mostly why you never see TV manufacturers going post 60hz
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I only watch tv when i goto bed, it puts me to sleep, and I have a nas drive filled w my fav shows so i can watch them in order, commercial free. I usually watch Married w Children, or South Park
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Stremio ruined my need for nas
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I stream from Nas to firestick, one on every tv, and use Kodi. I'm happy w it, plays everything. (I pirate/torrent shows/movies on pc, and put on nas)
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Kodi repost are still pretty popular
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
What the hell is Kodi reposts? what do you mean, or "Wut?" -xdqwerty
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Google them basically web crawlers to movie sites
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
oh you mean the 3rd party apps on Kodi, yea i know what you mean, yea there are still a few cool ones, in fact watched the new planet of the apes movie other night w wifey thru one, was good pic surprisingly, not a cam
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Damn, only $2.06 and free shipping. Gotta cost more for them to ship than $2.06
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
That's where stremio comes to play never got a letter about it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just use a VPN, even give him my login and password so can use it also, and he refuses, he's funny.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I had to find and get him an old style flip phone even without text, cause thats what he wanted. No text, no internet, only phone calls. Old, old school.
