yeah you can update console with disks too but like people said both those games might be 5.4.0 or even 5.5.0 im betting on 5.5.0 tough so yeah if you want to play them you will need to update.
I think XenoX Japanese is posible to play in 5.3.2 Version but Devil's Third no
Cuz XenoX was released April, 20
And the lastest update was
June, 8 after EA showing Ryu DLC
But XenoX US is right to be 5.5.0 or higher
What u guys think about?

Me the first! I cannot know how other VCs are made except for n64, and this is pissing me off :ohnoes:
Well I just managed to modify the .text of eShop from pyGecko (with some modification), so we're getting places at least. With that I should be able to do a sort of eShop-version-ignore a la the nim patches done on 3DS. Main problem I'm having now is getting it to patch as soon as possible, but with that out of the way you could drop into eShop once with a hack, grab stuff, and go. Hopefully.

I hate to be that guy, but can someone summarise the last week and a half or so of events for me?
I've been away and come back to a whirlwind of activity. From what I can gather:

- Database of memory edits for games
- Cafeiine has been released
- VC injection is a thing (can't test as I never bought any VC games :( )

That would be correct. As of now, file replacement is possible through Cafiine, which leads to the custom music and VC injects. Other memory edits are currently being attempted to varying degrees of success. All of this is possible on most firmwares up to and including 5.3.2, support for anything newer is postponed.

File replacement is permanent using Cafiine?

No, it just loads different files from your PC if Cafiine detects that the file on your PC is the same as the disc structure from the game. Basically, from what I gather, it works something like this:

Let's assume that there's a map file at /data/map/map0.bin for some arbitrary game. On your PC is a folder in which you can add directories and whatnot. If we have the game in question running, and Cafiine detects that on your PC is a file for this game that is at {game}/data/map/map0.bin, it'll load it from the PC instead of the game's actual data. No changes are permanent, they need to be done again when you reboot the system/game.

Making more progress on eShop update bypasses. 105-4260 was the old error, which just said the network was "busy" (aka nn::nim::NeedsNetworkUpdate returned 1). This is what happens when you remove the call from the app .text. I'm willing to bet this is a return from NNID sign in, so maybe patching NIM directly will yield results.
