So I hacked/modded my WiiU several years back.
My Friend Nate Handed me an Original Wii
Plus all the junk that goes with it over the Holidays.
Well my first impulse was Ooo I gotta Hack this Bitch too!
So what seemed the easiest to follow was Austin's groovypost.
https://www.groovypost.com/howto/softmod-nintendo-wii-easy/
And I compared with wii.guide as I went along to see if they diverged anywhere.
Mostly Identical.
So I did get the files from the links in the groovypost.
The other links I found to letterbomb kept giving me a certificate
not same error trying to visit that website.
The groovypost guide also mentioned getting modpack.zip
I also got but I had some question about the boot.elf being older
so I made sure to use the one in the letterbomb.zip it being newer date and all.
So far I have succeeded without issue.
I have made the backup. I also noticed the Priiloader contained in
this bundle was v.7 so I found v.9 and replaced the app files for it
before installing it. And that's where I have gotten to thus far...
The Two things I have Q? about... This bundle included:
*Wii Mod Batch (v3.0) <<What is it and do I need to install it?
Also is there a newer one? ie v3.2? or whatever.
*Wii Mod (v3.0) <<Ditto? Actually I would likely get the v3.2 app before proceeding...
I am hoping the expert who started this thread is still around.
But anyone who specifically knows what I am asking please chime in...
I can't really find a way to ask that Austin guy who wrote the groovypost or I would have.
Update to my post... I attached a pic of the wad folder this stuff put on my SDCard. I believe
I understand that the Wii Mod Batch installs all of these. Are they safe? Are they outdated?
Should I only install some of them? or None? What Benefit are they?
