That's silly.

The 3DS and Wii 2 are supposed to be parallel to each other (e.g, Wii and DS, GBA and Gamecube).
Why would Nintendo add friend-codes to the 3DS but not the Wii 2?

Friend-codes are a silly idea, anyways. I don't understand why Nintendo didn't just dump them in favour of a universal gamertag.

It's funny because Reggie said at E3 last year, that they had no plans for another console. Obviously, he was just saying that. There's no way they don't have even one concept in mind for a new console like 5 years into the older console's life cycle. Miyamoto just said the complete opposite.
