2009 had support for classic controller but not Gamecube... Which sucked as I have GC pads and not classic and found the wii remote a bit dull to use

Oh yeah, sorry, it's Classic Controller, no GC controller.
Don't know about this one though, but it's probably the same as in the last version.

But how can you play this game with anything else then a Wiimote and Nunchuck? Anything else, and the game loses so much of it's charm and efficiency.

Apparently the game is improved over 2009, but not so much.
2009 was just too good, not a lot of things could have been improved

There is better online and there is a better free kick system, that's about the only notable changes.

sadly, I'm a bit disappointed with this year's effort. Last years game was great, and the only area I think they needed to improve on was the online play. This year's online is still severely lacking. They could've at least added a function where you could see how many people are currently online, like most of EA's online games, so I don't have to sit and wait 10 minutes to try and find a game when no one is online.

Control styles available and their controlers available for use:
Playmaker (wii style) : Wiimote+Nunchuck
Traditional (ps/xbox style) : Wiimote sideways / Classic Controler
Co-Op (hybrid of first 2 styles) : Wiimote sideways / Wiimote+Nunchuck / Classic Controler

So 3 different controlers supported, 3 different gameplay styles. No GC controller support that I can see.

Regarding teams/players names... it's about the same as 2009... don't think they got any new licenses. Only 2 EPL teams is Man U and Liverpool. All of French, Italian, Dutch & Spanish first divisions are real teams. 51 other random licensed teams including: Porto, Benfica, Aberdeen, Celtic, Hearts, Rangers, Dynamo Kyiv. So even with their 'Champions League' license they're missing a few of the participants (mostly EPL teams, except 2 previously mentioned)

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
