Hacking why don't I have cheats on all my games?

I am using the DSTT with latest firmware AND the latest updated urscheat.dat so I'm confused as to why there are only cheats for certain of my games like Mario Kart and Elite Beat Agents but there isn't any for majority of the latest games - castlevaniaOE, GTA:chinatown wars, phoenix wright:T&T.

I've also tried with another flashcard (itouchDS) with the same urscheat.dat that I used and cheats do show up normally for all it's games.

what's wrong with my flashcard?

are you sure that you are using original DSTT?
as far as i know DSTT is the uber friendly flash cart when come to detecting cheat codes

it sounds like you are using a r4 or r4 clone named as DSTT
care to send me a screen shot?

Some most DSTT's are fake these days.

fake DSTT = some clones of original DSTT, r4, ak2?

this is a how a complete game ID looks -> abcd 12345678

abcd = game id
12345678 = crc

dstt reads only the game ID and i touch reads both game id & crc
if a game appears for your itouch and doesn't appears for your dstt
that means something is wrong

try get a new copy of usrcheat.dat from cheats.gbatemp.net and see any diffferences

I don't think mine is fake though. I got it like early last year. The cheats always worked until recently when it wasn't showing for some games. may I know how I can check my game ID?

r4cce use the ... button in between of DUP? and GAME ID

try formatting your SD card and then use the DSTT unofficial 1.17a02

One way to know if your DSTT is fake is to refer to some pictures...

You are from Singapore? If you got it rom SG Club, I think it is legit... Or so they say, mine was fake. But most probably not, since the fake killer will kill it unless your firmware is very old and you never update it.

And yes, to check the id use the r4cce like elixir advised.

I know, I read that when I was helping my friend set up YSmenu on DSTT, and found out that the fake killer was just one losuy file. I pity my killed DSTT though

The reason is because the dstt doesn't have good enough firmware to read the entire list of cheat codes, a firmware update could fix it, but the dstt team is dead.
