hi all, still cant get past the 11613 error on monster hunter tri, all other games work fine online for wii.
tried port forwarding, dmz, static ip, changing inscription, changing wireless channels.
tested this on 2 wii's, one modded, other is brand new and untouched, doesnt work on either, gets to 75% then times out with the 11613 error.
i have a belkin adsl wireless G router, never had a problem with any other games, only this one.....

so i was wondering what router you all use to connect fine with monster hunter tri online cos if im forced to go down this road and get a new router i want to know ones that actually work with it.
cheers

From nintendo.com (US) :

Error Code: 11613

It appears your connection to the game you are playing has timed out or is no longer working. Please review the following information:

There could be a temporary issue with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection servers. Please wait a few hours and try again.

If after waiting a few hours and the problem has not resolved, there could be a problem with your home connection. Try the following:

Ensure your home internet connection is working properly. Use a PC that is attached to your home router and visit a website that you have not been to before, in order to check that the connection is currently working.

Try adjusting the "Channel" your wireless router broadcasts on. We highly recommend setting your wireless router to either channel 1 or 11. This can potentially increase stability. For information on accessing your router's settings, click here to select the brand name and model number of your router (if available).

If you are still receiving this error code after waiting a few hours and trying the steps above, please call 1-800-255-3700 for assistance.

willing to accept its no longer a router issue, tried it on an old adsl modem with the nintendo wifi usb connector, same error.
tried on 2 wii's (one modded one virgin) both with dchp and static ip's, dmz, port forward, changing wireless channels, and different incriptions.
gonna try it at a mates house tomorrow as hes on a different isp.
then if that dont work gionna try and exchange the game disc for a differnent one (yeah last resort here just trying everything possible)

contacted nintendo they dunno whats wrong as all other wifi games work online fine, and capcom are not responding to anyone with the issue.
its quite frustrating to say the least.....

maybe its a routing issue maybe your route to the other people are hitting a black hole router somewhere, and thats why its timing out perhaps, check your router logs to see if your connection is always on I know some routers and modems have a connect on demand, I always turn it off but maybe this has something to do with it.

if you could find the IP your wii is connecting to, you could run a tracert (traceroute) and see where the issue is, if the problem lies inside your ISP network you could get them to fix it, or even if a router outside of the network was at fault you could ask your ISP to get in touch with the owner of that router, only other thing I can think of is somone else downloading stuff while your connecting as this would cause latency and time outs.

if you think it might be a timeout issue with conenct on demand try this if your on a windows system,

goto a command prompt

type ping -t www.google.co.uk or 216.239.59.104

and then connect your wii to the game servers, if it still happens perhaps the wii is on connect on demand or your router is dropping your wii's connection and then re aquiring it, if thats the case you can solve this by just re-adding your wii to the router ACL (access control list)

hope this helps
