The DS really is designed perfectly for turn-based RPGs.

You've got a d-pad, which although may be terrible for alot of action-based games, is optimal for navigating menus. You've got an extra screen, which is a touch screen. This is perfect for status menus, commands, maps.

And yet, do we have any great RPGs? Mario & Luigi is the only one I would even consider to be above decent. Why aren't developers focused on making these? Its the perfect platform for them.

@Urza: The reason I said Paper Mario is exactly that reason: DS needs some good turn-based RPGs.

Paper Mario requires all the things that you said are ideal for touch screen,
and it's always really annoying to have to pull up menu screens instead of having it right there in front of you, so a Paper Mario game is perfect for DS! Just like you said!
But the game's gotta be a turn-based not like Super Paper Mario for Wii...

I could go with the two obvious ones: Ocarina of Time and Smash Bros, but I'm gonna pick something entirely different.

Actually, I'll just stick with Ocarina of Time and Smash Bros.

I honestly think those are the two games mentioned so far that are the worst suited for the DS.

yeah i actually agree to now that i think about it. idk if they would be all that great on the DS. maybe smash bros would be good, i mean it has potential if they did it right.

I'm suprised it hasn't been mentioned, but maybe I'm just too oldschool.

I want a full Game and Watch Gallery (not just the Japanese club release) with all of the Game and Watch games on one cart. The double screen is perfect for this and finally it could be done right.

All of us want a Super Mario RPG remake ... comeone that game was frigin classic.

Other Remakes:
Chrono Trigger
Megaman 3D games for NDS
FF remakes (which are happening now thank you nintendo)
Another 3D metroid which doesnt blow on the Single player aspect

As for new games, I just want another Mario Kart which has more balance. I'm sick of going online and only facing ppl in the egg or tank. I want them to create a Balance for Mario Kart Skids ... perhaps if you skid to much your engine over heats and blows up ... God I loved Starwars Pod Racer for that addition.

Being able to disable copilot is not an opinion. lol. its a fact that it can be disabled.

Tired of the entire "BUT BUT BUT WINDOWZ SPYWARE!!!" thing too, when the same people give out tons of their personal info to plenty of other companies but say nothing about it.

@RedColoredStars, Companies do the exact same thing with other companies as well, so it's not just Microsoft. There are 3rd-parties like 'data brokers'.

I'm 52 years old and one of my jobs in life was marketing research. Im well aware. I've been online for around 30 years. Everyone and their grandmother already has my personal information. One more having my email address isn't ruining my life or even effecting me in any way whatsoever.

In fact. I freely give info. Stuff like gasoline apps, to save $, grocery apps, lots of cash back from rakuten, etc. etc.

$300 back last year from Rakuten for allowing them to track my purchase. I'll take the money for them to know I bought a bunch of stuff for my cat and some video games. lol

And for people to say things like "But I use all fake info". No, they don't. lol. They use fake info for all of their banking and online shopping? Fake shipping address, fake payment info? lol
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
Fake name, address and payment info for internet service, etc? lol. Ill say it again. Everyone freaks out about OMG WINDOWS!! But crickets on anything else they do.
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
Other windows stuff people complain about hypocritically too. Like "But but but Windows bundle junk apps!!!!" Yeah?? So do many Linux distributions. Dont like it? Use one without them. Same with windows. Either find a pre-made version without the bundled stuff, or very easily make your own installer with what you want and do not want.

I dont like the stuff added either. I have zero use for copilot or recall. But I also just simply disable it and move on.
