Hacking Which DVD-R media brand should I use?

I use TDK brand and have yet to recieve a single problem.

I use Sony AccuCORE burning at 16x.


Only one bad burn,and that was MP3.Only because my pc froze for 5 seconds.

I have used both TDK and Verbatim, they have never failed me.

I use Verbatim, no problem and I burn with IMGBurn at 2,4X speed.

Never a problem.

As far as image burning speed goes, how do I know which speed to burn my isos at?

Well said every game ive burnt has worked perfectly and i hate to sound like im boasting but im still waiting to see a single read error.

ps. i burn with imagburn @ 3x if this helps

I've started to use the bulkpaq orange. I used to use the datawrite optima blue, the bulkpaq ones are 1/2 the price and just as good.

taiyo yuden is the best for dvdr5
verbatim is the best for dvdr9, but I use matrix dvdr9 seems grade A so far
sometimes fujifilm uses taiyo yuden, usually they don't..I usually have to order taiyo yuden unbranded online

it all depends on your computer, burner and media, you alone will have to find out which speed is best for you.

not everyone needs to burn at 4x speed, like i said before, everyone's burner and computer specs, media are different.

I used to stick with 4x because thats what everyone said but I found that I had less DREs at 8x on verbatim lightscribe media.

Like jalaneme said, Burner and media makes it different for each person.

I'm using a Samsung (TSSTcorp) SH-S182M burner.

TDK works like a charm
