what if the wii u gamepad is broken?

a friend of mine has a wii u, but their gamepad is broken. most of the wii u apps require the gamepad. any answers?

Just buy a second hand gamepad on ebay or something like ebay, you can sync it with the wii u.

Make sure the gamepad is the same region as the console, otherwise it's not easy to make them pair. You can get a CFW Wii U to pair with a gamepad from a different region, I believe, but it's not possible otherwise.
