Homebrew What Happens If I Update My 3ds To 11.5? When I'm at 11.3? I'm Pretty Scared Right Now.

I have had my nintendo 3ds at firmware 11.3 for quite a long time..and I don't know if its really safe for me to update it to 11.5 with the boothax thing(or whatever its called ;-;" ). I wanted to ask if ANYONE can actually tell me the truth on it being really safe to update my 3ds and get it to 11.5 with the boot thing on. And I wish to know if it will cost anything bad to my 3ds..

Oh and the reason why I am making such a post is because I can't decide really..I'm scared that i might lose my things on my 3ds.
And that I really would love to have this cute game called Sumikkogurasi for the 3ds. I know that someone has released an 81% english translation that you need to do it by yourself. But luckily i found someone who has released the patch without the need of doing it yourself..thing is that I can't play the game translated with an outdated Luma mine is at 7.1 if i'm correct. And it doesn't let me play the game in english which bugs me the most.

BUT if anyone knows how to get the game english translated without the need for updating my 3ds please tell me ;-;"

If you have boot9strap it's safe.

Update your luma before you update your system. Other than that you should be fine.

^ As vinstage said If you're really worried you could make a NAND backup before you update just in case anything were to happen, just to be on the safe side.

@vinstage I already updated my luma its stuck at 7.1 o-o..it won't go up to 8 for shit lol. And alright.

I mean, you could maybe try reinstalling the updater via FBI? Other than that, I'm kinda stumped.

You need to update A9LH to B9S, before you can update to Luma 8.0 and above

everytime I update I make a NAND backup, backup the entire SD card install latest B9S and Luma and then I update.
