No "chip," Drive Doctor. Don't know who Tiktok & Botch are, but they've been on top of every problem within a few days, so I love it. It can be reset and reloaded by pressing a button, just in case its ever needed.

WiiD. It sucks, but Wiikey was out of stock when I bought it.
At least WiiD's not COMPLETELY dead, they did release a SMG update after 2 months and I suppose they'll release another update if another great 1st party game is released that won't work on it.

I voted for Cyclowiz but in fact I installed a socket on the back of my release day wii, so I had the option to upgrade without opening the wii. I fitted plugs to my wiinja V2 and cyclo and have never had any problems at all ;-)

Like mercluke, I ordered a key-clip, a ATmega8 chip that you clip onto the dvd drive of your wii. It is programmable with many different firmwares, the most common being wiikey and Openwii. I am going to use it for a wiikey, so I voted wiikey.

Why? OpenWii is superior in every way to Wiikey

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
