PS1/2 Walked into some serious bad luck

So I decided to buckle under the pressure and finally softmod my PS2. The only problem with doing that is the Action Replay I recently purchased (Black Friday) does not have this "Media Player" that all of the other ones are toting. Now, thinking that can't be the worst of it, there aren't any PS1 games for miles. So I'm stuck with a useless AR and no PS1 game to mod this baby with. Is there any other way of modding my FAT PS2 that somehow uses the bastardized AR?
