So I love my DualShock 4 and would love to have the option of using it on my Wii for any of my Wii or GCN games. I'd also love to be able to customize the controls with games. For example, I hate using an analog stick with Smash Bros. and the dpad would work fantastic with that game. Is any of this possible?

You can use Nintendont to use the PS4 controller on your Wii to play GameCube games. It has customizable button layouts too.

Just click the "click here" in my signature on the first line in my signature

Outside of these features:

Bluetooth controller support (Wiimote, Wii U Pro, ..)
  • Multiplayer support with multiple USB ports
  • Allow use of the Nintendo GameCube Microphone
  • Use real memory card
  • GBA-link
Is there anything else that doesn't work with GameCube games? Not being able to use my memory card sounds like a real bummer. Do you think that feature will be added someday? As for multiplayer games, if I used a DualShock 4, would others be able to use GCN controllers for multiplayer? Is there any chance that homebrew app will eventually support Wii games too?

Don't worry about the Memory Card. Simply click b when you see the list of games and turn on Memory Card Emulation. It works for 99% of games. It will be added later but the devs are adding more important features right now.

You can use your HID controller and GameCube ports at the same time

Since there isn't a way I can use my actual memory card, is there a way I can copy the data from my memory card and use that data with Nintendont? Also, the main reason I want to use a DualShock 4 on my Wii is to play Project M with it. Any idea if it's currently possible to play Wii games on a Wii with a DualShock 4?

The Entire Physical Memory card -> Emulated Memory Card can be found on the first post on the Nintendont thread.

No possible way to use a PS4 controller for Wii games

Unfortunately, I'm not. -_- I do own the device ControllerMax, but there currently isn't a way I know of that allows people to use it on a Wii or Wii U.

Not sure if this helps or not, but I use a Dual shock 2 as my "classic controller". I picked up an adapter and it works just fine. Plugs into the Wii remote and plugs into the PS2 controller. Not sure the differences with a Dual shock 4, but the layout of a Playstation controller has remained pretty consistent across time. It also allows for the use of PS2 DDR mats. I think the adapter was less than $5, but you may have to do some searching to find one.

The DualShock 4 is a vastly superior controller to the DualShock 2 and if your adapter doesn't allow me to remap analog controls to a dpad, then it's pretty much useless to me.

Fair enough, and it does not. I only mentioned it because for me it was cheaper to buy two adapters than it was to buy 2 classic controllers, 2 guitars and a dance mat, and seemed less redundant. At the time they were cheaper than classic controllers alone. Not sure if that's still true now. Good luck, a good controller that you're comfortable with can make a huge difference.

It's been several months since this thread has gotten any activity and I'm wondering if there are any updates as of late that shows DualShock 4 support being possible for Wii and Wii U games. I'd get this device, but it keeps getting delayed and I have no idea how I could import it.

Hello there I just added a message on another question of yours on this site.
I'm brand new to these forums so forgive me if you don't get this for ages.
I'm right in the middle of making a DualShock4 to work with my Gamecube & Wii.
I'll let you know when its all done & answer any questions you may have.
Cheers Brad

I cant justify $1k+ on a nice ass phone. I can spend that on a 75" tv screen. Why a 6" screen device cost me the same? lol

I can justify a decent $800 smartphone that'll last 3 years when I could get a 65" TV for $400 and buy a decent micro computer for $100 more

Tbf there are decent $400 smartphones in today's market that make top end spec phones unjust it's just what you want
