Homebrew Using gamepad on Dolphin. How do you "point" and "swing"

I thought the obvious answer would be set the joystick to emulate pointing in swinging where it says point and swing. But it doesn't work in the games.

I had to reset and start over and it's working now. Pretty cool playing some of these games that only work with Wiimote otherwise.
