Hacking Using a wired keyboard in games?

I want to use my keyboard for some platformers. Otherwise I'd have to purchase an adapter.

Only a few games have built-in support for keyboards, and probably not most platformers. There are hardware adapters that convert your keyboard input to controller input so it will work for other games.
