it changes every so often, this is just a test release so it is not set in stone. The developers have enough to do without editing this site every time they have a new build.

read all the pages on this forum and all will be revealed. it has been stated time and time again. or go to the developer wiki page and read the info there.

you do not need these files to use the software, just to customize it.

cheers

Could someone please edit the first page and add where to put all the *.txt files and directory structures of the R148 build? This is al getting very confusing with all the different builds! ... Please add a NOOB section howto EXACTLY setup the R148 and later.

SD:\apps\usbloader
SD:\config (config.txt & title.txt) or is it TITLES.TXT?
SD:\mytheme (theme.txt)

???
ETC ETC

When I just use the boot.dol from R148 and go to settings...it just freezes, so I wanted to add the txt files to change some settings but it is like a needle in haystack to find the right answers with all the different builds etc...

thank you!

I think it crashs cause i tried to compile the latest 148 build and there is a compile error in menu.cpp in line 1534. Could be a reason! Its in 149 too! or its my fault

Hi

I download the 3d cover but it shows garbled in this loader. But it shows perfectly in ULTIMATE loader. Can you please clarify this? Why did you give the link for the 3d cover art if it does not work? I am awaiting your speedy response.

Lots of good revisions guys.
Is it possible to make the default loader 16x9 through the config.txt without having any sort of external theme? Can't really find the answer or if so any real how to.

It will be the 16/9 theme you just have to set as default (which will come without anything to edit). But right NOW it's not there ... sorry you have to wait.

Fuck NO! take a look at the first page ffs! I'm sick of all these stupid questions dammit... read the first page and follow the link. Everything you DON'T find in the first post has JUST NOT BEEN MADE!

BTW: latest rev149 is working fine.

For those of you who want a forwarder, i uploaded it in here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VEIS8D6J

It is pointed at sd:\apps\usbloader, so simply put your boot.dol in the usbloader folder, and then install the forwarder .wad on your wii.

Is this forwarder working fine?, ive got one already but it takes a age to load up the usbloader from it, its very quick straight from hb but very slow from my forwarder.

Just want to make sure this one is working fine/quick?

So far so good, but no mention of some sort of USB HD spindown. Similar to removing hardware safely from a PC.
I think having the HD turn off abruptly cant do it any good in the long run.

+Changed the BG Song to the default Wii System Menu one

Changelog (since rev148):

What about IOS222 by Hermes support? It fixes freezing on certain games like Super Mario Galaxy, better at reading and waking up the HDDs (will put a translated text of this later.

It would be nice to be selectable per game and global.

hi....this is nothing to do with the topic...but....fuck...my wad manager 1.3 stoped working....it starts like this:

Initializing libfat, please wait... ok!
Retrieving device contents, please wait... ERROR! (ret = -1)
Press any button to restart

Ok... i think i have all ok...
sd:\wad\ all wads here
sd:\apps\ all apps here

The only thing i had made recently was puting geexbox in apps ....and copied ALL from SD to disk, formated SD, and moving again all things to SD .....im thinking in bad copy then ...dont know...anyone knows?

EDIT:
Ok..i think i know what is the problem. ....i tried again all the files and folders with the 2Gb card i had previosly wich is in FAT... .and works !
so ......with this new one of 4Gb wich i cant format it in fat. .....i can only format it in FAT32 ....anyone knows how to change this? is it possible?...

Seems like the Loader isn't saving/loading the config.txt file. That happened to me too, and when I'm trying to add a new box/discart, shows up as default/noimage one.

OK,, I tried out Soggs UNIILOADER and its pretty nice but one thing I noticed about it that was TOP!

When you need to patch vid or change language, his loader saves that info on the WBFS partition in some "unused places" he called it...

This would be nice if implemented in this loader. Not a necessity but I thought I would bring it up.. Maybe "other" things can be stored in these "unused places"

lol

Ok thank you , i'll try but what does "tweaked" means ? Is it the original R149 with your personal modifications ?

@MysticStarlight, oh Yea I recall my PS3 can do that

Do you have a surge protector or an UPS?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea but to play the next gen games, you must have those games on internal, or buy the official ssd expansion cards, which are expensive
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, dunno what each one of those are
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, my PS3 was already modded when my dad bought it for me and my brother
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
A surge protector is a device that protects your electronics from fluctuations. I recommend having your console plugged into one of those
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
An UPS is even better because it has an internal battery that keeps your system on even if the power goes out, but it's much more expensive obviously
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, oh i recall seeing one in some in the houses of some relatives, including my dad's apartment
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, although whatever device we plug into them stops getting power anyways lol

    that's weird

On the series s/x you can use a external HD but any next gen games must be on your internal ssd, or you can buy a ssd expansion card, but pricey. Any xbone, 360, or og Xbox games can be played from external tho.
