Hacking USB Loader GX update can't create directory

When i go to update usb loader GX i get

Error !

Can't create directory

update failed


can anyone tell me what i need to do.

make sure you have enough free space on the card. if you do, then unlock the card. i dont care if its already unlocked, unlock it again. weve had 100 people on irc with this issue. they always say the card is unlocked and bitch and finally 20 minutes later they try this and it works.

if it doesnt work, see if any wii app that can write to your card.

I know what the problem is ... the Attributes on the "apps" folder on the SD card are set to READ ONLY. Put the SD card in a reader and access on your computer, and right-click on the APPS folder, and choose PROPERTIES. Unselect the READ ONLY box, and click OK, then choose for all files and folders. While you're in there, might as well create a folder under APPS called "usbloader_gx", cause that's where all the update files are stored.

That should solve your problem.

My SD Card was locked and the lock indicator is inverted. So switching the lock did it.
