Hacking Upgrading from 3.2 to 4.0U recommended?

I want to update to 4.0 so I can load wiiware off the sd card. Also I want to update my shop channel so DLC will work. Here is my current setup...

-v1 wiikey
-rev14 cios
-3.2U
-launch wii
-wii is offline

Is it recommended or is 3.2 still the best? How would I even go about upgrading my wii offline? Will I lose any functionality with 4.0 (usb loader,install wiiware) Is there an easy method since I have a modchip and not a bootleg softmod?

Search around for the 4.0 or 4.1 update guides. There's around eleventybillion of 'em, so knock yourself out.

Update to 4.0 with this guide, then do a system update to goto 4.1.

First install bootmii (as boot2) and make a nand backup
then you're safe to try anything

It has changed now because when I did my upgrade it was to 4.0 not 4.1 .
I think its pretty safe to follow this guide and it gets alot of support. Read the posts to help calm your nerves.

YES backup nand since its the Best move to make to give you a safety net.
