Hacking Updating 3ds

Hey all

Pardon my ignorance on the subject matter but I keep getting prompted to update my 3ds when I start. Should I continue to ignore the update or is it safe to do so?

Do you have Custom Firmware on the 3DS? If it's a recent CFW with boot9strap then you should be safe to update after putting the newest Luma boot files on your SD card. https://github.com/LumaTeam/Luma3DS/releases

Just make sure you have latest Luma3DS (v10.2.1 at the moment) before updating. Download: See above.

Please don't forget updating the copy on CTRNAND as well if you have to update Luma3DS (boot.firm)
