Unfreezing Xbox

While playing a game on my original xbox, via internal drive, the gameplay froze. Is there any method that can be used to unfreeze the game? I'm assuming no, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Thanks.

I wouldn't think so other than resetting. However I would check that HDD if its freezing on you may have bad sectors on it or there is some file problem going on

Is there some sort of program that can be ran via a burned CD or DVD which can cure any HDD problems?

    Or, I also heard that if you use flash memory, it can act as more "RAM" at least windows tell me when I stick a flash drive into it.
