Did this help you bypass a ban?

NOTE: This tutorial is WIP; it's currently 7AM and when I do have energy I'll add more pictures :3
So, you got banned from Wii U for being an idiot. Great job.
You could probably go change your serial, but that involves prodding about with sys_prod.xml and the likes, which is kind of ehhhh...

There is a much better way, and you only need to be able to MITM your request (I did write a guide on that) and it'll work.
If you were banned, you probably see something like this:

So let's change that.

Steps
  1. Setup your Wii U to be MITMed, connect online and get the "banned" message.
  2. Right click the request for account.nintendo.net (that has "400" on and has the warning symbol) and click Breakpoints.
  3. Try again, and you'll see the request show up. Hit "Edit Request" and change your serial up a bit, like you would sys_prod, and hit execute. As soon as the response comes through, hit execute again for your token etc.
While this isn't automatic (yet, if somebody does work out how to make it automatic via Charles, and there will be a way), it does mean you touch less files (SSL module vs the XML file that can brick your Wii U if you mess with), and you get the added bonus of things like MITMing your console to see what secrets you're sending to Nintendo.

If it all worked fine, you should see something like this for the response:

Does this method affect NNIDs at all?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Do I still have to make a new NNID?
