It is normal. The patch trims the ROM.

pokefloote, if you find more problems like that please mention them. I have been translating all day on this project and try to keep my edits clean. I will give items a look over if I need to on the github. Maybe something got comitted that should not have. who knows.

well it's just that the names of all items are blank, and so is the quantity of items so it's more annoying to use than in japanese...

edit: by the way, these were on emulators (obviously) but i'm using acekard 2i and supercard dstwo and getting the same things.

O.O i was trying change that text by myself and i test this translation, is work with my emulator and my DS O.O.

ow on patch version 1.2 is have some wrong on section 1 (a/0/0/2)

is seems someone not using unicode character ...

how to fix it ?

open PPTXT and extracted a/0/0/2 from you BW2....

just go section 1 . and checked the script.

on v 1.2 is made wrong on script because maybe they forgot switching the encoding system.... LOL

Is it possible to already start playing the game with the v1.2 patch and when v1.3 releases, can i like over-patch the previous game?? That way I get more and more translated throughout the game =D. That would be sweet.

Nope.. I have a japanese sav and it just works except for the pokemon names of my already caught pokemon (before I patched)

Make sure you aren't set to kanji in the options menu.

And be aware that despite how much progress seems to be made, character dialogue pretty much means all of the dialogue. Lots of names and such are translated, but the game is still going to be about 60% Japanese.

Hmm...having trouble getting past rom error code 4 on my dstt after this new v1.2 translation patch and the trimmed roms...
I can get it working if I extract the a/0/0/2 from a translated .rom and re-insert it on my 2ch v2 patched rom, though.
Guess it is time to move on and get an Acekard 2i/SCDS2 and avoid troubles in the future...

Yes you can i was using my own modified patch file and is works. since is just a/0/0/2 ......
