Gaming The OTHER 10 free games?

(the reason i don't think it would Ruby and Sapphire is because of Emerald, if Nintendo is going to offer Emerald the game with more features, then everyone would just want that game, and no one is going to want Ruby or Sapphire, but you need to have Ruby and Sapphire if you want to trade and catch them all, I'm also assuming here that they will add some sort of wireless multiplayer function for the GBA games, but that could just be me being really hopeful. So if Nintendo later adds Ruby and Sapphire, they'll make Emerald a game thats a download even later just as how they released the games.)

I actually don't know how good an idea it would be for Nintendo to offer the 'mon for free in any form. Even a casual player can easily rack up 40+ hours completing the story of some of them, and franchise fanboys can get 200 or more in a bid to catch all of the pixelated blighters- add that to the fact that Pokemon will ALWAYS sell. Even with piracy and the 3DS looming, black and white made an enormous profit as there are fanboys and girls out there who will buy every game.

Pokemon free on the VC would A- cost them a lot of money as they could make a ton by releasing gen 1-2 for cash, and B- eat into sales of other games as a lot of people would go "Starfox? I'll just play Pokemon until Mario comes out"

I'd love to see it, but it's unlikely!

Kid Icarus is more likely- a lot of Mario games- Mario 3DS out soon. Mario Kart GBA- Mario Kart 3DS out soon. Zelda- OoT already out but for all you stragglers, here's LoZ for free to make you want it! Does this mean there are new Metroid and Wario 3DS games in the Pipeline?

Oh, some of them are probably so they never have to make them '3D classics'

They're gonna be first and maybe second party games, no way is Capcom gonna be ok with just giving away games of theirs. Unless of course Nintendo has signed some sort of deal that offered them substantial money, but thats kinda opposite of the point of this, Nintendo is doing this cuz they aren't making much money right now, they can't really afford to be paying 3rd party developers to offer some of their games for free. Plus the games they announced were all 1st party games, so don't hold your breath on any 3rd party games for free.

Who exactly considers it a classic?

There's a reason the series has had like two games (a third one coming) over the course of, oh, 25-ish years? It'll probably be on the NES list though to promote KI: Uprising. Or maybe they'll exclude it as it can leave a bad taste in some people's mouths over the franchise.

And no one has even mentioned Metroid? Odds are they'll leave out all the GBA remakes (Super Mario Advance stuff, Metroid: Zero Mission, etc) in favor of the NES versions (exception being the Yoshi's Island one).

I liked Kid Icarus SINCE IT IS HARD! I don't want to clear it in some hours! I want difficulty! lets hope Uprising does the same!(Easy is not too bad ^^)

I don't think I'd have minded the price drop without the games- if you couldn't see it coming the day the Vita price was announced you're pretty stupid. These games will tide early adopters over til the Xmas Nintendo blowout (with Mario Kart, Mario 3D, Luigi's Mansion 2, Kid Icarus Uprising and Skyward Sword Nintendo will be taking any money I had put aside for the Vita between November and February), new 3DS owners have DOA, SF4, Ghost Recon and Oot to plough through

I hope for a Mega Man title. But a question about the "VC" or at least a hope, Will they allow us to use the "Y" button as a "B" button and the "B" button as a "A". If not, then i could care less. The DSTWO was a bit of disappointment in that area.
