The Original DOOM trilogy has quietly launched on Switch/PS4/XB1

Launching with little fanfare are the first three DOOM games, in order to celebrate the series' 25th anniversary. Bethesda has brought DOOM, DOOM II, and DOOM 3 to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch. They're all currently available to buy digitally, with the first two games costing $4.99, while 3 is priced at $9.99. The first two games are also on both iOS and Android, if you enjoy your classic games on the go.

Celebrate Doom’s 25th anniversary with the re-release of the original Doom (1993). First released in 1993, Doom introduced millions of gamers to the fast-paced, white-knuckle, demon-slaying action the franchise is known for.

Experience the classic demon-blasting fun that popularized the genre home or on-the-go.

Doom (1993) includes:

  • The expansion, Episode IV: Thy Flesh Consumed, with nine additional action-packed levels
  • Local four-player deathmatch
  • Local four-player co-op
Doom II
Celebrate Doom‘s 25th anniversary with the re-release of Doom II. This beloved sequel to the groundbreaking Doom (1993) gave players the brutal Super Shotgun to bear against deadlier demons, and the infamous boss, the Icon of Sin.

Battle the demon hordes at home or on-the-go on Nintendo Switch.

The re-release of Doom II includes:

  • The Master Levels, 20 additional levels made by the community and supervised by the developers
  • Local four-player multiplayer
  • Local four-player co-op
To save Earth, you must descend into the depths of hell, survive demon hordes, and take part in the fiercest battle ever.

Doom 3
Celebrate Doom‘s 25th anniversary with the release of Doom 3, available for the first time on Nintendo consoles.

In this critically acclaimed action-horror re-telling of the original Doom, players must battle their way through a demon-infested facility before entering the abyss to battle Hell’s mightiest warrior—and put an end to the invasion.

Doom 3 includes the Resurrection of Evil and The Lost Missions expansion packs.

No thanks.

Online DRM and the game being way bigger than it should be? (Doom 1 alone is 300mb). You better be joking bethesda.

Also, they removed the Xbox 360 version from it's store (probably because it was DRM free).

lmao. That is still really quick to patch it out though.

Dunno why they didn't dump Doom 3 though. It doesn't even have the DRM.

Best guess would simply be that it's taking slightly longer to download, rip, and upload since Doom 3 is 8GB, vs the 300mb each for these ;)

Yes it does you have to create an account to use Doom 3, it tells you straight away after the credits. It connects your email address from your Nintendo account to the game won’t let you play it else, you have to type the correct email address in from your active Nintendo account this is probably why it hasn’t been dumped.

Edit: just found out another thorn in the side it checks your account every time you boot doom 3 up after pressing any button but what’s stopping other developers doing just the same!

On a positive note the game looks and runs beautiful you also get all the doom 3 extensions packs attached probably worth the purchase specially like me if you have plenty of gold coins to spend.
