Multiplayer is Ace and the single-player part is nice if you like the genre.

A lot of Puzzle Series #xx are well made games. The ones that will never make the localization here would be like kanji, or hiragana crosswords (could be easily adapted into english I guess)
But of them all, I love Slither Link. Never knew about it until I played it.
More recent ones like Hitori, Nurikabe, and Akari are really fun too.
Have no clue at all why puzzle games don't make it to outside of Japan. (Except like sudoku..)

I think Slitherlink #0678 and Akari #0923 and under-rated. There just pure puzzling fun.

Slitherlink is really good but I don't really think it was under-rated. I mean, Eurogamer gave 10/10

But I think it should be included on the list since almost no one know this game and it's one of the best puzzle games on DS.

I spent 4 hours straight playing Akari, cleared about 260 with maximum stars. I still can't get enough of it, I demand Akari #2

Nodame Cantabile is missing! Also Garfield's Nightmare. Also Pac-Pix should be a must play imo.

I agree about Pac-Pix needing to be a must play, Nodame definitely needs to be there, as does Scruge: Hive

Break 'em All isn't so bad. Arkanoid clone with a Gradius-style progressive powerup system. The ball also auto-accelerates...

One of the modes boasts over 3 million randomized stages. ...No idea how true that is, but it's worth a play at least.

(hint: Use the stylus to move the paddle instead of L/R since it's fixed speed using the buttons)

I just got my first DS (DS Lite actually) a couple of months ago, so I'm very behind in playing these games. I'm not sure, but it seems to me that Touch Detective may be under rated. I've been keeping my ears open to all things DS & can't say I'd ever even heard of it. I lucked into a dirt cheap copy of Touch Detective on Ebay & have to say that I'm loving every minute of it! The whole look & feel of the game is pretty cool.
