Android The best Rom for HTC Desire?

i tried MildWild CM-5.0 Stable-Release

But rom fucked up my battery
it took me a whole day to charge and didnt got past the 66%
so i restored my old htc firmware with ext4 recovery

soo is there a good rom or Best? for the HTC desire GSM?

Every ROM above gingerbread is buggy/battery draining/unstable and so on.
For a ROM that drains little battery and is stable as hell I would use Oxygen (original created by AdamG)

Just install the kernel right after you have installed the ROM

The kernel just put it on the root?

put both the ROM and the Kernel in root then:
1. in EX4: Install from sd card, select the "oxygenROM.zip"
2. after oxygen is installed, select install from sd card again and select the "kernel.Zip"
