not entirely, if you get a #30 crate then its worth great value
I just sold a 31 and 32 crate for 2 scrap

Well, yes #30 go for quite a bit due to their incredibly low drop rate (Strange Machina's go for Earbuds, which is about $23)
And 31 and 32 are new, so, they'll probably go down in price quickly.
