I download the CycloDS ROM Patcher v1.0 from CycloDS web site.

And guess what? I can use CycloDS ROM Patcher v1.0 to convert 0173 - Mario Kart DS (US)(M2) and run on my old SC-SD.

I think CycloDS flash card actually is a new brand of SuperCard.

the 1.0 patcher seems to match SC rev. 2.57 : it has the DMA option (and apparently also the same compatibility issues

I asked because the CycloDS 1.0 is apparently very similar to 2.57 (exactly same options, including DMA)
I would have said (before your post) they just changed font and "skin"

Weird. Wine always crashed when I wanted to add a new ROM to the CycloDS patcher yesterday. Today everything works fine. So, yes, basically a new skin for 2.57.
