So I've been using CFW for a year or so now, and I've had to update to a newer system firmware a few times successfully using ChoiDujourNX now. However, after updating to Kosmos 12.2, successfully rebooting into CFW, running ChoiDujourNX and updating to 8.0.1 exFAT like I've done with earlier updates I got from the same source, I get an error upon rebooting, no matter how many times I try it. It's the atmosphere error code screen, that says
I manually updated kosmos on my SD card just in case; no change. I'm wondering what exactly happened, because ChoiDujourNX didn't throw any errors as all, and Atmosphere purported to have 8.0.1 support for a while now; I was just not updating to be "safe." Uh oh. Is there anything I can do other than make space on my SD card and flash an old nand dump? Also, does this mean that I can never update to 8.0.1?
My switch has not "burned fuses" past 5.0.1, and the most recent backup is from about 5 months ago running 7.0.0.
EDIT: I fixed it. I found a reddit thread that purported deleting the "sept" and "atmosphere" folders and copying them over verbatim would work. It did. I then realized that it was crashing when the news page would normally show up, but I have a custom theme (7.0.0) that only changes the news page to blank out the news, since it's always the same on my hacked switch. Removing that folder in titles is sufficient to allow it to boot properly. Makes sense. Thank goodness. Hello news page, welcome back. Goodbye clenched anus. >.<
Code:
Error Code: 2000-0000 (0x0)
Title: 0100000000001000
Firmware: 8.0.1 (Atmosphére 0.8.10-master-422dce69)
An error has occured.
Please press the POWER Button to restart the console normally, or a VOL button
to reboot to a payload (or RCM, if none is present). If you are unable to
restart the console, hold the POWER Button for 12 seconds to turn the console off.
