Hello guys. I'm trying to install Bloodstained Ritual of Night ns0 with goldleaf. And I'm getting error 0x234c02, it says "Invalid NCA, might mean missing sigpatches or too low firmware"

I'm using atmosphere 8.1.0 with emuMMC, I have copied sigpatches from a thread on gbatemp and still getting this error.

What am I missing?

I don't really have the answer for why because it seems like it should be working if you have sigpatches. Only things I can think of.

There was a corrupt version going around the web, might try a different version

If that doesn't help, there are other programs to install from usb like AluminumFoil.

Or you could try just installing it by putting the nsp on your sd card and just using Tinfoil, but it won't work unless your sd card is formatted to exfat because it's larger than 4gb.

I have tried to install 1.6 update for both and get the same error. I am using fat32 so I have to install over usb. Is there any way to use tinfoil over usb?

Hey there.
So I use atmosphere on two micro sd cards.
Both were exfat so I wanted to switch to FAT32. Now I've done so one one micro sd card.
And the cfw boots, CFW runs, but games won't run, as they're corrupted (dev menu runs apparently).
The Data Management section of the system settings says, that the installed titles take up only a little bit of space (up to 66Mb) or even none at all.

In my opinion there shouldn't be any problems with the data integrity as everything else (Hekate, Atmosphere, Homebrew) runs as expected. The SD card is also legit (tested).
Do you have any ideas what the problem might be?

Do you have atmosphere patches? If not get them.

If games are corrupted it can only be Atmosphere patches (which you said you have them) or exFat corruption, which could have happened at any time so yes. There is no other fix for corrupted games but the Atmosphere patches. Just have to reinstall them. I mean you can attempt to update and reapply the patches I don't think it'll make a difference but again you could try it.

It's why I tell people all the time not to use ExFat you can get your entire sd card corrupted at anytime.

Hey guys,

My RCMLoader One just came in and I followed all the steps to put atmosphere, reinx and sxos into the microSD as well as update the payload.bins inside the RCMLoader dongle.

When I go to try to boot into RCM with the dongle, the light lights up for maybe 3 seconds and then nothing happens and the switch doesnt boot. My switch serial starts with XAW1005 so I know it isnt patched. Can someone with the dongle help me out?

EDIT: I switched to ReinX and I saw the anime girl boot screen flash for a second and it disappeared, does the dongle just need to be charged?

I have a spare switch that I've kept 3.0.0 on waiting for the hacking scene to mature. I'm just now really starting to get into the scene now and have been exploring switch root and the like

What I'm actually here for is that I would like to play some local co op of stardew valley with my girl, which requires 3.0.2. What are my options as far as making this happen? Will I have to update firmware permanently? Would there be a solution with custom firmwares? Am I screwed?

Appareantly it was all about the patches. I've updated atmosphere and thefore the patches and it works once again. I have no clue, why it would work with exfat, but not with fat32, but I won't complain as it works now :)
Have a nice day and thanks

Yup, there's many other alternatives.
To name a few DevMenu, Goldleaf, DZ Tinfoil, Lithium and even this "freeshop" kind of homebrew thingy
Some NSP installers come with USB installs and additional over the network installs whereas some others are pretty limited to what they can do.
In addition to NSP installs, goldleaf allows you to browse the web on your switch!
Isn't the freeshop-like thing just DZ too?

No, your sysMMC should be clean.

https://gbatemp.net/threads/moving-emummc-hidden-partition-to-a-larger-sd-card.545094/

So I followed all the instructions and had it looking exactly like it shower in the pics. When I enject hekate and select launch cfw emummc it looks like it's loading and just loads right back in to hekate. Probably just gotta keep messing with it until I get it right. Thank you!

You can use Checkpoint to extract the save files to your sd card, but using Checkpoint will make your sysMMC dirty if you want to keep it clean.

Okay, so I have just purchased a new switch from eBay and I confirmed it’s not patched, then backed up my boot 00 & 01 and the raw gpp. I want to buy some eshop games Like Final Fantasy 7, and others (that are only available digitally). But I know I will want to hack my save files. So can anyone explain how I copy my eshop game from my clean new switch to my pc? My guess is there is a way to convert it from the microsd to a nsp so when I copy it to my pc I can then install on my cfw Switch. Am I greatly simplifying the process? Is there a tutorial?
