I'm sorry. It should be noted, however, that if you had looked at the serial number and consulted the spreadsheet before making your purchase, you would have seen that all XAW10024 systems are 3.0.1 on the spreadsheet. It's also on the first post.

I'd return it and get another one, verifying the serial number with the spreadsheet before purchasing it.

I went to Target today saw a Switch with the serial XAW70007x bought it, turned it on, and BAM 3.0! Thanks for the advice Lacius!

Just got a XAW100173XXXXX from the source in canada. It was an online order. The source being a not so popular retailer I thought I might get one from old stock. And indeed I got one...It was on 2.20. But it was 100% an openbox returned unit. Box is worn out...console had fingerprints on it...And battery completely dead..Somebody definitely played with it and then factory reset and returned it. Somehow the source sold me a returned unit as NEW unit...While I normally would definitely be pissed off and return it...But in this case...sigh..I don't know if i am lucky or unlucky...

update: Well well. Just discovered a dead pixel on the screen. That must be why it was returned in the first place. Ha! FML. It is going back to the source.

Considering its stock, return policy, etc., Target appears to be the place to go for a 3.0.0 Switch. That's where I got mine this week. However, it's very important to compare the serial number to the spreadsheet before making one's purchase. There are recorded accounts of people getting 3.0.1 systems from Target. Get them now while they last. It'll probably be very hard to get a 3.0.0 system after the Christmas rush.

Got mine from the BX military base b/c you know no taxes lol scooped up the last Neo joycons too, they only had 3 switch's, but never knew about the whole firmware deal till now.
Welp it may not be currently exploitable, but it will be eventually reminds me when I updated my Wii U to 5.01 and look how that turned out

Unfortunately after booting it up yesterday, I found out the screen had a clear yellowish taint on it. I contacted Amazon's customer service and they sent me
