Yes, it's been a long time, but the GBA is still a really nice emulation machine, much better than smartphones.
I've been working on Goomba Color again, mostly to try to get Shantae working at a nice playable speed, and I've pulled it off! Many speedhacks and code optimizations later, Shantae is decently playable on the GBA.
I've released a (buggy) test build, warning, it may be buggy.

Great to see you on here Dwedit, and even happier makes me the news that you're still working on Goomba Color!

Definitely my favourite GB emu of all times :D Too bad I don't have my GBAs with me, otherwise I'd have given this a spin immediately!

EDIT: tested it and works excelent.
Dwedit : for the crashes you mention in the pocket heaven thread, that's normal at least on Wendy, I have played it on an EMS GB Smartcard and sometimes a note get stuck and/or crash when you beat the level.

Smartphones are better emulation machines if you have a BT gamepad :P
That said, I love the GBA and Goomba Color always impressed me with its features and speed. Used that quite a lot when the GBA was my primary handheld gaming machine. Nice to see you're still working on it :)

I haven't been here for a few months so it was a pleasant surprise to see that Goomba Color lives!

You've made me and my GB Micro very happy.

Thanks for sharing and the best of luck with your continuing work. :)

Damn I have 8 modded rgh3 x360 slims I've done, I need to get rid of, I figured my family members or friends would want but times have changed. Think I'm gonna stop buying them and modding. Time to Switch it up (pun intended)

Or grow sum balls and do it yourself, not hard. More of a pain to jailbreak a ps4 than it is the 360, other than little soldering.

Are you near sea/salt water, or in general they just don't last. Sounds like if you driving a mercedes, you need a garage. I get snow n ice here so nothing worse than clearing that shit off at 6am rushing to get to work.
